DESCRIPTION OF BUG: I have down loaded the s2ibis.tar.Z [nov. 11 2001]
from

ftp.eda.org/pub/ibis/s2ibis/s2ibis2_v1.1/ I use AVANTHI/HSPICE 99.4
simulator. 

we gone through the "readme" document of s2ibis2 . 

we tried ,running s2ibis2 for simple buffer(CMOS netlist) using spitran.


while executing ,we got an error

"PATH:\buffer.ibs The name specified is not recogonized as an internal
or external 

command,operable program or batch file ", 

but still .s2i file is created . while running buffer.s2i using 

s2ibis2.exe it displays message, 

"s2ibis2.exe reading input file buffer ...done." 

"s2ibis2.exe Analysing components Component -Name." 

"s2ibis2.exe Starting Hspice job with input pctinput.spi." 

"failure !!!!!!!" 

Can We use spice vertion 1999.4 for s2ibis2 run? 

Is it a path problem ?? ,then what is the solution for that??. 

Please help us in that regard. 

Is netlist is the only input or can you provide some input otherthan
cmos netlist regading the same.

NOTES ON BUG FIX: Discussed and classified at the December 7, 2001 IBIS
                  meeting.  We decided that we cannot support spitran
                  (a Cadence free-ware).  We do think there is a problem
                  as report regarding s2ibis2 and HSpice files Version 99.4.
                  We will let Mike LaBonte know and possible provide private
                  assistance, if he wishes to do so.
