Minutes from Sept. 10 meeting
Arpad Muranyi ran the meeting. No patents were declared.
Arpad had an AR to look into [Circuit Call] and [External Circuit] support in the Interconnect
proposal. He has more work to do on this. He did make some suggestions in the proposal distributed
before this meeting.
Arpad summarized that he reviewed draft 9 and commented on it to Walter Katz (over 60
comments). Many comments were editorial. He and Walter discussed the comments by phone and
accepted some of the changes. Some comments are technical.
Radek Biernacki mentioned that he had a discussion with Brad Brim about sections Brad is
editing. Walter also talked with Brad. Walter did remove a note about terminating Terminal N+1 to
global ground and added a description of an error if the N+1 terminal is left unconnected. Walter noted
that the Terminal/Port Mapping should say “N+1 reference” instead of “N+1 N+1”. Walter asked if you
have a .snp file for a package with a VSS reference, there could be many VSS ports, so where is the
reference? It was agreed that the reference depends on the measurement and one might need to
specify an individual VSS pin as the reference.
Walter commented that he’d like to post Arpad’s commented BIRD as draft 11 for review with all the
changes accepted. The group decided to review the draft 11 offline and ended the meeting early.
